Bullet For My Valentine in Trivium se v sredini januarja 2025 odpravljajo na obsežno skupno evropsko turnejo imenovano “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour”. Za podporno skupino turneje je izbrana zasedba Orbit Culture. Bullet For My Valentine bodo na tej turneji izvajali v celoti svoj albumski prvenec “Poison”, Trivium pa v celoti album “Ascendancy”. Oba albuma sta izšla leta 2005 in praznujeta v letošnjem letu svoj 20. letni jubilej!

V sklop te turneje se bodo Bullet For My Valentine in Trivium oglasili v sredo, 19. 2. 2025 tudi  na avstrijskem Dunaju, ko bodo nastopil v dvorani Wiener Stadthalle.

“Resnično ne morem verjeti, da je minilo že 20 let od izida albuma “The Poison”, in kako neverjetnih je bilo teh zadnjih 20 let,“ pravi Matt Tuck, frontman skupine Bullet For My Valentine. “Ponosen sem na to kar smo kot skupina dosegli v zadnjih dveh desetletjih, vse pa se je začelo s tem prvencem. “The Poison” je zelo pomemben del našega glasbenega, pa tudi osebnega življenja in zavedamo se, kako velik vpliv je imel izid tega albuma na metalski svet v globalnem oziru. Ta turneja bo še toliko bolj posebna, ker se nam na poti pridružujejo tudi naši bratje iz skupine Trivium, ki bodo proslavili in v celoti odigrali svoj osupljivi album “Ascendancy”.”

“The Poison” in “Ascendancy” sta dve plošči, katerih vpliv lahko slišimo še danes – v DNK-ju sodobnega metala,“ dodaja Matt Heafy, frontman skupine Trivium. “Neverjetna je misel na to kakšen vpliv sta imela albuma, ko sta izšla leta 2005. Oba sta se pojavila kot strela z jasnega in obe skupini sta rasli povsem neodvisno druga od druge. V različnih državah in ločeno od kakršnega koli gibanja ali scene. Obe pa sta v svoji notranjosti sledili privrženosti do melodičnega heavy metala in obe dosegli podoben meteorski vzpon. In to takoj po izidu obeh omenjenih albumov.”

Heafy nadaljuje: “Trivium in BFMV” je ob izidu obeh albumov zajel tak vihar, da v vsem vrtincu nenehnih turnej, snemanj in potovanj, nikdar nismo imeli priložnosti zaigrati skupaj, ali se skupaj kakorkoli družiti. Zato je ta turneja zagotovo jubilejna. To je praznovanje dveh skupin z oboževalci, ki se nanaša na zelo pomembno ero, predvsem pa tudi vabilo vsem ljubiteljem naše glasbe, da se nam pridružijo in z nami preživijo epsko noč ter prepevajo in norijo ter praznujejo ob tej, izjemni moči, ki jo pooseblja naša glasba.“

Oba albuma sta izšla leta 2005, njun vpliv na razvoj sodobnega metala pa je nesporen.

“The Poison” – prvenec zasedbe Bullet For My Valentine, je skupino popeljal v nepredstavljive višave. Tistega leta so valižanski metalci prešli od statusa predskupine Funeral For A Friend na njihovi poletni turneji po Veliki Britaniji že v zaključku istega leta do statusa, ko so le nekaj mesecev kasneje in na istih prizoriščih, prevzeli vlogo glavnih nosilcev svoje naslednje turneje pozneje. Album “The Poison”, ki je izšel oktobra 2005, je zasedel 21. mesto na britanski lestvici albumov, obe koncu leta pristal po izboru bralcev revije KERRANG! na sedmem mestu kandidatov za najboljši album leta, do tega dne pa že prejel zlati certifikat!

Marca 2005 so Trivium izdali klasiko “Ascendancy”. Album je bil leta 2005 uvrščen na seznam albumov leta revije KERRANG!, v Združenem kraljestvu je postal zlat, od takrat dalje pa je njegova svetovna prodaja presegla 500.000 izvodov. Floridska četverica, ki je istega leta odprla glavni oder festivala Download (fantje so postali komaj polnoletni)a – nastopila s setom, ob katerem vsi, ki so mu bili priča, niso dvomili, da gre za prihodnje legende, bralci revije KERRANG! pa so prav ta koncert kasneje izbrali za deseti najboljši koncert vseh časov.

Metal Hammer je oba albuma uvrstil med 25 najboljših metalskih albumov stoletja, svojega “The Greatest Metal Albums of the Century” seznama. Priložnosti, da si ogledate celovito izvedbo teh klasičnih albumov v izvedbi dveh skupin, ki sta na vrhuncu svojega ustvarjanja, torej nikakor ne smete zamuditi.

Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium have joined forces for a massive “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour” which will start in Europe at the end of January 2025. Orbit Culture has been selected as the support band for this tour. On this tour both bands will celebrate as never before! Bullet For My Valentine will perform their debut album “Poison” in its entirety and Trivium will perform their debut album “Ascendancy” also in its entirety. Both albums were released in 2005 and are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year!

As part of this tour, Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium will also play in Vienna, Austria (Wiener Stadthalle – Halle D), on Wednesday 19th of February 2025.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and TRIVIUM revealed details of a huge, joint arena tour across Europe, ‚The Poisoned Ascendancy EU Tour 2025‘ with support from ORBIT CULTURE.

“I honestly can’t believe it’s been 20 years since the release of The Poison, and what an incredible 20 years it’s been”, says BFMV frontman Matt Tuck. “I feel so proud of what we’ve achieved as a band in the last two decades and it all started with that debut album. The Poison is such an important part of our lives musically and personally and we know the massive impact it had on the metal world on a global level. This tour will be made even more special as our brothers in Trivium are also joining us on the road to celebrate and play in its entirety their stunning album Ascendancy.”

“Bullet For My Valentine’s The Poison and Trivium’s Ascendancy are two records whose influence can be heard to this day – in the DNA of modern metal,” declares Trivium frontman Matt Heafy. “It’s incredible to think of the impact the albums had when they came out in 2005. They were both like bolts of lightning. Both bands grew up independently of each other in different countries and separately from any movement or scene but both shared a common love of melodic heavy metal at the core; and both had similar meteoric rises right out of the gate.”

He continues: “Trivium and BFMV were in such whirlwinds when our respective albums came out that we each never truly got to play together or sit back and celebrate during the maelstrom of constant touring, recording and globetrotting. But that’s what this anniversary tour is. Released in 2005, the impact of both albums on the evolution of modern metal is undeniable.

For BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, The Poison was their debut album, which saw the band propelled to unimaginable heights. That year saw the Welsh metallers graduate from supporting Funeral For A Friend on their UK run in the summer, to ending the year headlining the very same venues just months later. Dropping in October 2005, The Poison hit number 21 in the UK album charts, becoming a late contender in end of year polls, placing at number seven on KERRANG!’s “Albums Of The Year” list, and since achieving gold status.

Released in March of 2005, TRIVIUM crafted a classic in the form of Ascendancy. It concluded 2005 as KERRANG!’s “Album of the Year,” went gold in the UK, and has since surpassed global sales of 500,000 copies. Opening the main stage of Download festival that year, the Floridian four piece – barely out of their teens – delivered a set that left all who witnessed it in no doubt that they were looking at future legends, with KERRANG! readers later voting it as the tenth best gig of all time.

A testament to the staying power of both albums, Metal Hammer listed both albums in the Top 25 of their “The Greatest Metal Albums of the Century.” The opportunity to see these classic albums performed in full by two bands at the top of their game in some of the EU’s most prestigious arenas is not one to be missed.
