Čez nekaj dni, natančneje 18. septembra, bo Paul Simon izdal nov koncertni CD / DVD set z naslovom »Live in New York City«.
Simonova ekipa je koncert posnela med njegovo ameriško turnejo leta 2011, v sklopu katere je priznan kantavtor nastopil tudi v legendarni dvorani Webster v New Yorku. V intimnem okolju je odigral celo plejado svojih hitov iz vseh obdobij dolgoletne kariere. Danes 70-letni glasbenik, ki je pustil globok pečat v svetu rocka, popa in folka, je na uro in pol dolgem nastopu zaigral 20 skladb.
Set lista je vsebovala skladbe kot so like ‘Kodachrome,’ ‘Mother and Child Reunion,’ ‘Gone at Last’ in ‘Slip Slidin’ Away’, kot tudi štiri pesmi iz njegovega zadnjega albuma »So Beautiful or So What«. Odigral je tudi dve Simon and Garfunkel skladbi, in sicer ‘The Sound of Silence’ in ‘The Only Living Boy in New York’.’
