Po lanskoletni turneji ter letu dni počitka REM za jesen (12. september) napovedujejo izdajo CD-jev ter DVD-ja, ki bodo vsebovali diskografijo ter videografijo iz njihovih takoimenovanih I.R.S. let, obdobja med leti 1982-1987 v katerih so izdali pet albumov. Obdobja njihovega ustvarjanja ki večini ljudi ni tako znano.
CD bo možno dobiti v dveh različicah. Pod imenom “And I Feel Fine…The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987”, se bosta na policah pojavila dva albuma: prvi kot kolekcija 21 singlov ter hitov po izboru benda. Drugi pa bo vseboval dva CD-ja na katerih bodo predvsem demoti, mixi ter še neobjavljeni posnetki… Definitivno nuja za njihove fene.
DVD z naslovom When The Light Is Mine The Best Of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987 Video Collection bo vseboval videospote iz tega obdobja, nastope v živo, kratek film Jamesa Herberta- Left Of Reckoning, ter kot dodatek starejše intervjuje ter posnetke redkih akustičnih nastopov.
