Van Der Graaf Generator napovedujejo zaboj “Interference Patterns – The Recordings 2005-2016”
Van der Graaf Generator, kultna progresivnorockovska zasedba iz Velike Britanije, napoveduje izid novega zaboja, ki se bo osredotočal na obdobje delovanja skupne, po njeni združitvi leta 2005.
Zaboj s skupno štirinajstimi zgoščenkami in naslovom “Interference Patterns – The Recordings 2005-2016” bo izšel 23. 9. 2022, pri založbi Esoteric Recordings.
Zbirka bo vsebovala prav vse (studijske in koncertne) albume skupine, ki so izšli med letoma 2005 in 2016 – se pravi “Present” (2005), “Real Time” (2007), “Trisector” (2008), “Live At The Paradiso” (2009), “A Grounding In Numbers” (2011), “ALT” (2012), “Merlin Atmos” (2000) in “Do Not Disturb” (2016).
Koncert iz leta 2009 imenovan “Live At Paradiso” je že lep čas nedostopen na tržišču in se bo v zaboju nahajal kot DVD. Nova zbirka bo vsebovala redek koncertni CD, ki je izšel do tega dne le kot dodani CD na japonski verziji koncernega albuma “Real Time”. Zaboj bo opremljen s knjižico natisnjeno na 96. straneh, ki jo bo spremljal obširni esej britanskega glasbenega novinarja Sida Smitha, vsak izmed albumov pa bo izšel v formatu, ki je pomanjšana replika izvirnika vinilne embalaže.
Zaboj “Interference Patterns – The Recordings 2005-2016” lahko že prednaročite.
Klasična postava Van der Graaf Generator, se je prvikrat po letu 1978, združila leta 2005, četudi je saksfofonist David Jackson zdržal s preostalimi tremi člani, vsega eno leto. Od leta 2006 dalje pa vse do danes, delujejo Van Der Graaf Generator v postavi tria: Peter Hammill (vokal, klaviature, kitara), Hugh Banton (klaviature) in Guy Evans (bobni).
